These photos are from June at my first ever show at Churchill Grounds! It was a great weekend and a chance for me to stretch out of the comfort zone. We did a few tunes recorded by Flora Purim: Chick Corea's, "You're Everything," and a wordless version of Joe Henderson's "Black Narcissus." And other tunes with unusual meters brought by killer drummer Chris Burroughs.
And there's
Louis Heriveaux, full of ideas and soulful as always. Lucky to play with him - we have the best time!
and the band wouldn't be complete without
The Craig Shaw on bass. I think this photo captures a moment where Craig is actually gleaning crucial Chuck Norris facts at the same time he is playing a searingly hot solo.
and these photos are brought to you by the steady hand of Clayton Daspit (no flash!).
Love the CD!!! Thanks for the email marketing... I bought right away!
